We Still Get Handwritten Testimonials

99% of the customer testimonials we get are via our web form or email or Facebook page, but every now and again we get some sent to us via the old school method -- snail mail.

We also occasionally get a caller or emailer who insists we make up our testimonials, that the hundreds upon hundreds of testimonals we have aren't real. Well, we hate to break the news, but every single testimonial we get is real, from a real person who gave us permission to use their statement. We are a family owned business, and we wouldn't dare manufacture customer testimonials or comments. That's not how you stay in business for over 50 years.

Going through some testimonial archives, here are three we received last year in written form. In this digital world, it's cooler than you think to receive something in the mail like this.

Bottom line: our customers are awesome.

Rislone's Bill Reichert Scores 2nd Win in 3 Starts in Indy

CLERMONT, Ind. – Former 5-time NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster World Champion Bill Reichert took another step to regaining his crown with a win during this past weekend’s NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series North Central Region opener at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis. The win was his second in Rislinjected-nitro dragster.

Reichert, from Owosso, Mich., qualified No.at that would stand as low e.t. of the event. After qualifying was complete, rains moved into the Indianapolis area and forced the event to be pushed back a week. More rain was in store as the racers returned, leading to eliminations on Monday.

In round one, Reichert took out the nitro burner of Dave Hirata with a, and then defeated Jared Dreher with a in the semifinals. The final would be a battle of former US Nationals winners as Reichert squared off with Marty Thacker’s blown alcohol entry. Thacker, known for his quick reaction times got a small starting line advantage, but that was quickly negated as Reichert stayed consistent with a’s260.61.

“After all these years, I’ve figured out how to let my experience work for me instead of against me on the tree,” said Reichert. “All you have to do is hit the gas when the yellow light comes on, right? Why does that have to be so difficult? Trying to force yourself to have a good reaction time just doesn’t work. You have to trust yourself and let it happen.”
Happy Earth Day

Even though we develop and sell chemical solutions, Earth Day is a big deal to us around here. Why? We spend our days helping folks stop their car's s leaks so they can run run cleaner and longer. We've had folks thank us for helping them clean up their oil-spotted driveway. We've had folks tell us that before using our product, they were using a quart of oil a day -- because their car leaked so badly. The bottom line is that a leaking car is a toxic car, as far as the environment goes.

Stopping leaks is indeed a big deal for the car and owner, but we're more than aware that less leaking cars on the road, the better for the Earth and everyone who lives on it. Call it a secondary benefit to our products.

	Happy Earth Day, everyone.

Testimonial: Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL

We've just received a great customer email about our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL (p/n 4701), which we introduced to improve gas quality, reduce spark knock and serve as an overall fuel conditioner. George R. from New Castle, PA writes:

I used to use Rislone in my oil years ago and have not seen it for my fuel injectors. I had a "service engine soon" light come on around Christmas time, nice time for that to happen, so to the auto parts store I went. They checked it on the computer and said it was an 02 sensor.

Well I saw this bottle of Rislone complete fuel system cleaner and conditioner and reconizing the name, I purchased the bottle and drove to the gas station, put it in, filled my tank and after only 75 miles the light turned off and have not seen it since. I will continue to use Rislone in my vehicle. This stuff really works. I purchased it at Advance Auto in New Castle, PA.

Thanks George for choosing Rislone. It's true that Rislone made its name from its engine treatment product (the now-famous 100QR), but our line of new fuel products has won awards and customer praise alike. We're geeked that you found the product so helpful.

	Thanks for sharing!

Rislone Defender Featured in New Monster Truck Destruction Game for iOS

Holly, MI (Dec 13, 2012) -- The Rislone® Defender monster truck is featured in ODD Games’ new Monster Truck Destruction game launching today through Apple’s App Store. Players choose monster trucks to crush obstacles, race competitors and hear the roar of the crowd, just like Rislone Defender driver Zach Adams does in real life most weekends.

The Rislone Defender is easily identified by its bright yellow and red color scheme highlighted by the Rislone Mad Scientist clutching a bottle of Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner. In a game that emphasizes power and performance, Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner fits right in. It’s a complete fuel system tune-up, designed to maximize vehicle power, performance and mileage.

“We’ve been involved in motorsports for decades and have sponsored the Rislone Defender monster truck for the past five years,” said Clay Parks, Rislone vice president of development. “Driver Zach Adams and his truck do a great job of showcasing our Fuel Injector Cleaner to thousands of monster truck fans every year. We’re excited to see the game in action and can’t wait to ‘get behind the wheel’ ourselves!”

Everything in the game can be bent, broken or destroyed. Developers at ODD Games worked for two years to develop a dynamic damage system and realistic driving physics. Even the arenas are realistic, with cheering crowds, course obstacles and sponsor signage. Trucks can race and do tricks, like slap wheelies and back flips. Multiple camera angles let players check out the view from the cockpit, behind the truck, TV mode and more.

Players can choose from 30 trucks. In addition to the Rislone Defender, there are classics like Bigfoot, Bear Foot, USA-1 and Carolina Crusher. Players can even upgrade their vehicles with performance parts. Photos may be taken during gameplay and easily shared on Facebook or Twitter.

The game will be available for all iOS devices, including the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. It will cost 99 cents. An Android version will follow in early 2013.

Coming December 13: Monster Truck Destruction for iOS, Featuring the Rislone Defender Monster Truck

Seriously you guys, we've been waiting to tell you this for months.

We are happy to announce that later this week, our Rislone Defender monster truck will be featured in Monster Truck Destruction! Developed by ODD Games and published by Chillingo, Monster Truck Destruction (MTD) is an iOS (iPhone, iPad) game that features realistic physics and a real-time damage system. It represents the absolute state-of-the art monster truck racing on the iOS platform.

The quickest way to get a feel for Monster Truck Destruction is to check out the official trailer:

See how you can upgrade your truck? That's honestly one of the coolest parts of the game, and it keeps you coming back for more.

What's the game about? Developer ODD games gives you the skinny:

Your fans are calling out for destruction and you’re going to make sure they get it! Get behind the wheel of one of 30 monster trucks and put it to its limits to destroy everything in sight. Spin your wheels in competitive Drag races or send your ride leaping off jumps an smashing into other cars in Freestyle mode. Once you’ve got some experience up your sleeve prove that you’re the best by competing in Championship mode for all out bragging rights!

Even when you’re beat down you’ll be coming back for more due to the realistic physics and
dynamic damage system. MTD’s realistic physics has historically only been seen on console
but they’re now on iOS! Compete in the original rivalry between BIGFOOT and USA-1 or be
as cool as ice by playing the 80’s trucks or compete in the modern era – you choose!

We have been working with ODD Games since they approached us on this project, and we have to say, they have turned out an amazingly fun, insanely replayable game. Here are some more screenshots:

So, in two days, MTD will be availble in the App Store for only $0.99. And let us tell you, you get a buck's worth of entertainment out of this in the first ten minutes. This is a must-have for any monster truck racing fan.

Check it out in two days on December 13!

(If you want some information on the real Rislone Defender, driven by 2009 MTRA Rookie of the Year Zach Adams, here's his official profile, and here's his hero card.)

PHOTOS: How Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL Improves Gas Mileage

Here’s a personal, unscientific illustration of how our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL can improve gas mileage. Note: this is not a guarantee that all cars/situations will see these results. This is just one casual test conducted at one point in time on one car.

Backstory: I used to have a Volkswagen GTI MkV. I used our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL back then and saw an approximate 8%–10% increase in MPG. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos or log any data to illustrate it.

I’m now driving another car, and decided to run the same test.

The first picture is what I get without using Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL. This was shot about 50 miles into a full tank of gas.

As you can see, I'm getting 21.6 MPG.

This next photo was taken with Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL installed in a full tank of gas. Like the first photo, I shot this 50 miles into the tank to allow the product to circulate. I took the photo on the same road with zero change in my driving habits. Temperature was in the mid–40s, same as the first pic.

With Rislone, I'm up to 23.9 MPG.

That’s a 2.3 MPG increase, or about 10%, as I noticed with my Volkswagen. To boot, the car run smoother with our product installed, and it helps combat the quality inconsistencies of ‘winter gas’.

We’ve had car clubs and customers write and call us to tell us how our fuel injector cleaner with UCL is the first one that’s actually worked for them, but we haven’t been able to put numbers to it. Pretty cool!

Rislone Introduces Six Super Concentrated Fuel Additives

RISLONE INTRODUCES SIX SUPER CONCENTRATED FUEL ADDITIVES
Cost-effective line includes exclusive EZ Nozzle™ delivery system to fit ALL vehicles

Today, Rislone® introduces a full line of super-concentrated fuel additives. The new Rislone Super Concentrated line includes six products packaged in six ounce bottles featuring Rislone’s new patent-pending EZ Nozzle™ delivery system that is guaranteed to work in any vehicle, including the approximately 15 million vehicles in North America equipped with capless or obstructed fuel systems.

	The new line includes:

Rislone Super Concentrated Fuel Injector Cleaner with Upper Cylinder Lubricant (p/n 4701)

Rislone Super Concentrated Fuel Injector & Carb Cleaner (p/n 4705)

Rislone Super Concentrated Octane Booster (p/n 4747)

Rislone Super Concentrated Gas Treatment (p/n 4777)

Rislone Super Concentrated Ethanol Fuel Treatment (p/n 4774)

Rislone Super Concentrated Water Remover Fuel Dryer (p/n 4735)

“We’ve drawn upon Rislone’s more than 90 years of experience as a leader in the vehicle performance chemical field to create highly concentrated versions of the most popular fuel additives for maximum cost-effectiveness,” says Clay Parks, vice president of development for Rislone. “Packaging them in our exclusive new EZ Nozzle bottles means that our Rislone Super Concentrated products can be installed easily in any vehicle, for maximum consumer convenience.”

Rislone Super Concentrated products featuring the EZ Nozzle delivery system are the only fuel additives on the market that can be installed directly into capless and obstructed fuel systems without the need for ancillary equipment. Other additives can only be installed into these systems with the assistance of special funnels or other tools. Rislone Super Concentrated additives have the patent-pending EZ Nozzle built right into the tops of their bottles. When inserted into a capless or obstructed fuel tank, the Rislone EZ Nozzle opens the fuel system safety door and allows the additive to flow in smoothly. Once installation is complete, the entire bottle is thrown away, eliminating the need to store a messy funnel or other device in the vehicle.

“By pricing our Rislone Super Concentrated fuel additives very competitively and making them a snap to install, we believe they will appeal to a wider range of consumers,” Parks explains. “This will expand the market category and help our customers sell more fuel additives.”

All six of the Rislone Super Concentrated additives will be available in 2013. Each product is available to distribution in PDQ display case packs of 12. Like all Rislone products, Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL, Fuel Injector & Carb Cleaner, Octane Booster, Gas Treatment, Ethanol Fuel Treatment, and Water Remover Fuel Dryer are made in the U.S.A.

Bar's Products Wins Packaging Innovation Award at AAPEX

We're happy to announce that we have won a packaging award in the Innovation category for our line of Rislone dual-cavity bottles. You can see these bottles already on shelves near you, especially the Rislone Gasoline Fuel System Treatment and Rislone Diesel Fuel System Treatment.

Many thanks to the folks at AAPEX for recognizing Bar's Products/Rislone for our packaging efforts. Our company believes very strongly in innovation -- almost everyone here has read the Steve Jobs bio and taken certain principles to heart -- and we're thrilled our work is getting noticed. Thanks again, AAPEX!

Falcon F7 on Display in the Bar's Products Booth at AAPEX

This year in our AAPEX booth (#4416), we're featuring a beastly Michigan-made horizontal rollercoaster known as the Falcon F7. Its looks are one thing -- they stop people dead in their tracks. But the Falcon's specs are what really raise eyebrows:

		Body: paint-finished carbon fiber

		Engine: LS7 Corvette engine -- 7.0L, 427 c.i. supercharged V8, 620 HP, 585 lb/ft torque @ 5400 rpm

		0-60: Approx 3.3-3.6 seconds

		Top Speed: Approx. 190-200 MPH

		1/4 Mile: 10.9 seconds

		Lateral Acceleration: 1.1-1.3g maximum

		60-0 Braking: Under 100 ft.

The people behind Falcon are as passionate about building a real-world supercar as we are making automotive chemicals that rise above the rest and work as promised. So far, this car is the star of the show. If you're at AAPEX in Vegas, be sure to come by and see this monster in person in booth #4416.

Testimonial: "Many thanks for creating something that actually works."

Fred V. from Edmonton, Alberta CA wrote us over the weekend. This is what he said:

We have a 2001 Chrysler 300m and the fuel pump gauge started to ping and drop to empty and then back up again. It did this for approx. the first 1/4 tank after filling. I found out that the fuel pump had a sensor that registers the amount of fuel in the tank and this cannot be replaced by itself....the whole pump has to be replace at a cost of around $600. (the gas tank has to be dropped).

I tried several fuel conditioners and they did not work. Then I ran into yours and noticed that the label did say that it cleans fuel pumps. So I thought I would try it and after 8000 kms from using the first bottle (as per the instructions on the bottle) and using the 2nd, the condition disappeared and it's been good since. So many thanks for creating something that actually works. But then, you folks have been at it for a long time. -- Fred

First of all, thanks for taking the time to write, Fred. We love hearing stories like this.

Second, the product Fred is talking about is our Rislone Fuel Injector Cleaner with UCL. It saved Fred $600, and it can help your car whether your facing an expensive repair or not. We've gotten calls from car clubs and racing enthusiasts about this product, so we're pretty thrilled it's being noticed for standing out above the others.

Thanks again for contacting us, Fred.

Davie Ranek and Robbie Stillwaggon Scrap It Out for URC Point Lead

THREE URC POINT RACES REMAIN, FRANEK HOLDS SIXTEEN POINT ADVANTAGE OVER ROBBIE STILLWAGGON HEADING TO DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SATURDAY NIGHT

Davie Franek and Robbie Stillwaggon have yet to win a Rislone URC Sprint Series title, but both drivers are deep into the battle with just three point races remaining.

Franek of Wantage, NJ is the current point leader with just a sixteen point advantage over Burlington, NJ driver Robbie Stillwaggon. Without a doubt, this is one of the closest point battles in recent URC history and it very well may go down to be decided at the season finale at the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 13.

URC will be at the Delaware International Speedway this coming Saturday night, a track where both Franek and Stillwaggon scored their first career URC wins. In a season filled with different winners for URC, both Franek and Stillwaggon are still looking for their first win of 2012. Mertztown, PA driver Josh Weller is third in points followed by Kevin Darling and Randy West. Rounding out the top ten is Ed Aikin, Chad Trout, Joey Biasi, Kramer Williamson and Art Liedl.

Of the fourteen URC events presented so far in 2012, Ed Aikin and Tony Stewart are the only two time winners joined by Bobby Breen, Blane Heimbach, Kevin Darling, Ryan Bohlke, Daryn Pittman, JJ Grasso, Josh Weller, Mark Smith, Pat Cannon and Ryan Wilson who each have a single win. URC was at Delaware International on two occasions earlier this season with Ed Aikin and Ryan Bohlke taking the victories.

The New Egypt Speedway will host the Rislone URC Sprint Series on Saturday night, September 29 with the season finale set for Saturday night, October 13 at the Grandview Speedway. The season finale at Grandview will be an increased payoff event paying $3,000 to the winner of the twenty-five lap feature. On this night, URC will also officially crown the 2012 champion and the point fund money will be distributed at the completion of the night. The 2012 point fund money will be distributed to the top ten owners with the champion earning $6,000 and tenth in owner points earning $1,000. Rookie of the Year will also be announced and recognized at Grandview.

RISLONE URC SPRINT SRIES POINTS
1. 1,367 - Davie Franek
2. 1,351 - Robbie Stillwaggon
3. 1,220 - Josh Weller
4. 1,171 - Kevin Darling
5. 1,156 - Randy West
6. 1,103 - Ed Aikin
7. 1,045 - Chad Trout
8. 1,033 - Joey Biasi
9. 1,015 - Kramer Williamson
10. 1,014 - Art Liedl
